This hand cut, wood marquetry landscape is of Turquoise Lake, Colorado. Mount Elbert and Mount Massive in reflection as seen from Lady of the Lake picnic area along Turquoise Lake, Colorado. The lake is named for turquoise deposits in the area. Leadville is nearby to the East.
Handmade in the USA! The woods used in this scene are: Figured White Ash, Lacewood, English Sycamore, Sapele Pomelle, Padauk, Koa, Wenge, Macassar Ebony, Bloodwood, Redwood Burl, Eucalyptus Burl, Bubinga and Figured Red Oak. The frame is 2 inch wide, “Java” stained solid Red Oak with mitered and doweled joints. The piece is backed with durable black felt and a full description of the woods used in the scene. It is ready to securely hang with "D" rings and hanging wire. This is an open edition production piece. Grains may vary slightly from original to original. Keep out of direct sunlight.
